Discussion, critique and fannish obsession over the works of Joss Whedon and his band of merry geniuses

Into each generation, there is a television show....

Well. What can I say? The end of an era, no? I mean, in my lifetime, I have enjoyed many television programs. However, none has affected me with its passing more than BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Usually shows fall to the wayside, degrading over time, but this one was able to sustain its brilliance to the very end, emphasized even more by Joss Whedon's writing and directing skills being at the top of their game and Sarah, Alyson, Anthony, David, James, Nicholas and everyone else being there for the ride in top form.

As a final episode, BUFFY fulfilled the promises of all final episodes. It showed you what was great about the show. It reminded you of what made it special in the first place. The drama, the humor, the monsters, the banter, the intelligence..... The show was in rare form and should go down in television history as one of the best series finales ever.

But, what would a post from me be without one or two sticking points? Pretty unusual, I know. I actually have a sticking point, but I do not feel that now is the time. One should not jump to pounce at the end. I will let these things go for a little while. I do not wish to look a gift horse in the mouth, and having received one of the coolest gifts in my television history, I will leave well enough alone......for now.

Well, that's the sitch for now. It's a new world out there now. A post-Buffy world. And we're all forced to live in it.
