Dirty Girls, But I Like 'Em
Well, another one hit right out of the ball park.
First off, let me congratulate the writers of this particular episode for some great character interplay, spiced with witty dialogue. The exchanges between Spike and Faith were brilliant on every conceivable level. Spike bringing her up to speed was just great, as well as his reaction to being compared to Angel. Speaking of which, I just made that association yesterday, in conversation, which is just another example that they MUST be listening to us! (collected fandom)
Then there was Faith with Buffy, which was filled with just enough angst to be uncomfortable, but also hit a soft amount of need from Buffy. It was beautiful. And the unspoken Angel moment between them was nice.
And then there was Andrew, Faith and the Vulcans. That was just beautiful, and I don't just say that as a STAR TREK fan. Hee Hee.
Now, Nathan Fillion just played it bad to the bone, last night in truly psychotic fashion. This guy is frightening for being righteous. It was cool. And Sarah, of course, rocked as the First. Evil definitely got a chance to shine last night.
To me, this could be the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK moment of the next few episodes. This is when the heroes get their heads handed to them before they ready themselves for the final showdown. Then again, this could really get worse so I maybe I shouldn't talk.
Now if only they would stop making us wait for the last episodes (then again, the sooner we get there, the sooner it ends.)
*sigh*
