Discussion, critique and fannish obsession over the works of Joss Whedon and his band of merry geniuses

Not quite as impressed

Having read Brian's post, I had to read Rachel Lovinger's analysis of "Conversations with Dead People" . Anyone who can humble Brian is worth listening to.

The article contained a few good insights. I don't exactly agree with her assertions regarding Dawn's visitation, but they do, at least, have merit (unlike THESE GOD-AWFUL PEOPLE!)

Having given some more thought, I do believe that the true purpose of Buffy's visit was to make her lose confidence in the one person who may be her biggest ally in all of this. Spike. Why would Spike be such a big ally? Well, Angel is a vampire with a soul who winds up being a major player in the apocalypse, so why not? Actually, wouldn't it be funny that, now that there are TWO vampires with souls, the prophecy that everyone is attributing to Angel was really about Spike and his helping stop this season's big bad? I mean, obviously that's not the case (or is it?) but it would still be a nifty non-crossover event.

I also still think (and I am sure I will be proven wrong before the end of sweeps) that Spike was the imposter in his encounter. After all, only the DEAD people were imposters. And of that encounter, Spike was the dead one. Again, why not? I maintain that this could still be a setup.

Anyhoo, enough ranting from me................For NOW!! Bwah ha ha hah ha ha ha hah ha hah ha ha ha!!!!

Ha ha ha.

Heh. *sigh*
